Problem with renewing subscriptions in Greece.
Dear Blizzard,

As you might know, the banks in Greece are operating with capital control restrictions since the 29th of June. As a result, we are unable to use our credit / debit cards, Paypal, or any other kind of money transfer to an account outside of Greece. This means that we are unable to pay our subscription fees or do any other purchase from your online shop.

Can you please find a way to help us continue playing our beloved game?

My suggestions are:

1) Open a checking account in a Greek bank. This is the easiest way for us to be able to make payments.

2) Extend our subscriptions until the capital controls are over and charge us the amount.

3) Increase the amounts of physical game time cards that you send to local retailers. They cannot be found in any local shop anymore.

We thank you in advance for your understanding and support.

Much love from Greece :)

Hello Dristal,

What happens exactly when you try to use your debit/credit card or PayPal on Battle.net? Do you get a specific error message?

If so, could you reply with a screenshot of it?

We wanted to let you know that we’re aware of the payment issues our players in Greece are currently facing. Certain banks are not processing international digital transactions for certain types of products, leaving many of you unable to pay for Blizzard games and services with credit cards or PayPal.

We’re carefully monitoring this situation, and we’d like to remind you of other payment options that are available to you. For World of Warcraft game time:
  • Pre-paid game cards should be available at local retailers like Plaisio, Public, Media Markt, Seven Spots, e-shop.gr, etc.
  • Those with in-game gold to spare can purchase 30 days of game time on the Auction House with the WoW Token

We’re also working with external partners and local retailers to bring Battle.net Gift Cards to Greece soon. These cards will provide you with an additional payment option by allowing you to charge up your Battle.net Balance in order to purchase items, including game time, in the Battle.net Shop. You can find more information here.

Can the account services be payed via the battlenet balance, if there was a way to load up money on it, right now?

That's what i asked aswell, so far no answer... but 1 downvote from a troll.. oh well >_>

If you are able to add Battle.net Balance to your account then yes, your Battle.net Balance can be used to purchase character services (Transfers, Faction Changes etc.), pets, mounts and digital Game Time codes from the Battle.net Shop at http://eu.battle.net/shop/

Hello, I've checked internally about the matter of Battle.net Gift Cards and have a small update for you.

We had originally aimed for Battle.net Gift Cards to be available in Greece by the end of 2015, but we unfortunately ran into some retail delays. We’re working to resolve these delays and hope to have the cards available before the end of Q1 2016.

As a small update regarding the Battle.net Gift Cards general availability in Europe:

We hear and understand your frustrations over not being able to purchase the Battle.net Gift Card in some countries.

The Battle.net Gift Cards use a retail technology that may not be available at some storers. We are continuously working with our partners to identify retailers who use, or plan to use, the retail technology required to activate the Gift Cards.

Our current plans include Greece, Poland and Eastern Europe, where we are already working with our partners to bring these cards to retail within the coming months.

Rest assured that our aim is to have the Gift Card available to purchase by everyone, regardless of country. We don’t want anyone to be left out.

Please excuse us for the delays, we’re working diligently to resolve them as fast as we can.

Any info on their price?

Because currently on their website it doesn't show anything, like if they are available or how much do they cost.

The cards cost €20 and can be redeemed to add €20 of Battle.net Balance to your account. The cards can only be purchased directly in-store, not online, so the best thing to do would be to check with your nearest Public store.

i know its been a while but this still going on ? you know one retailer is not available to whole greece .

thx.

The gift cards should also be available at Media-Markt stores now. We're also still investigating the possibility of supplying the cards to other Greek retailers too. Once I have any additional details, I'll add them to this thread.

Bumping to update also in this Regard.
Today at Public they told me that they will discontinue supplying the Battle.net Prepaid Cards because the Demand is so low and also they cant make anything because they cant ask Blizzard for Cards its Blizzard thats sends them when they want.

I will appriciate if Aerythlea makes an update on this please!

We’ve seen a great reception to the gift cards being available at Public and, at this point in time, we don’t have any plans to discontinue supplying the cards.

Good evening! As Kontosouvli mentioned above i got the same answer from Public:"We don't know when/if we get more Cards from Blizzard". It's our only solution on some things! Especially on LEGION COLLECTORS edition! I wanna buy it to have early access on Demon Hunter among other things so i cant' wait the physical edition! How i am supposed to buy? Media Markt don't have something on this on their site! PLUS they are not near any city, so is there a possibility to buy them via internet like other products?

Please do something cause prepatch and stuff is near!

Thanks in advance

We're aware that some Public stores are out of stock right now. We're working with our supplier in the region to get more stock sent to them as soon as possible.

Most Media Markt retail stores should have the cards in stock, they do not sell the cards online. You may be able to phone your nearest Media Markt store and check if they have any available.

Does anyone knows if it is possible to purchase Legion deluxe edition by using gift cards?

Yes it is. The gift cards add Battle.net Balance to your account, and you can then use that balance to purchase the Digital Deluxe edition. :)
