Out of curiosity, which dungeons is this happening with? And are you at the time in a party at all, or does it happen when you are on your own?
Can you also double-check the dungeon difficulty you have set for your character (by right-clicking your Character's Portrait)? Just wondering if having it set to Mythic could have any impact. :)

I'm relatively newish to WoW and there's definitely lots of things i do not understand yet.
This is one thing I've not been able to find via Google.
I've been trying to do old dungeon content but every time I walk through a portal for a dungeon I either just walk right in to an empty layout of the instance or it tells me I need to do heroic?
Can any one help please.
