Ask the Devs EU - nobody votes!
I have to wonder what the point is in even having the "Ask the Devs" threads on the EU site because barely anyone even votes and NOBODY ever votes past the 3rd page.

I've checked all the EU ones and there's barely a single upvoted post past the 3rd pages. In fact there's barely a dozen upvoted posts in the entire things.

The US threads by contrast are nearly always at the post limit and every page still gets voted on, even up to the very last.

What this means is that EU questions will not be answered or even looked at by the devs because no one can be bothered with voting. (In case you didn't know, ONLY upvoted posts will even be considered. If the post isn't highlighted it will be ignored).

That's not true. We still compile the top voted questions from each EU language forum and send them through to the developers. Just because the amount of votes for those top-voted questions can, at times, be lower than other times, doesn't mean those top-voted questions aren't still gathered and relayed and responded to. From what we've seen, the developers have gone to great lengths to answer questions from all of our global regions and separate language communities. So don't worry, we're not being sidelined or left out -- quite the contrary. :-)

Voted. Actually I started from the Blue reply cut point and started going backwards towards page one, voting for those things that even remotedly appeared to be interesting, which was quite a bit in the end. I saw this too late to ask questions, either about professions in general or related to a specific profession...but not too late to vote.
Yes well one of the key aspects of the Ask the Devs is the rather fast turnaround from posting questions and then reading the answers. If it wasn't like that you could end up seeing outdated responses, for example. The questions might have been relevant or even urgent when asked, but when the answers came in delayed they're no longer useful for you to read. So we want the back and forth of the questions and answers to be as quick as humanly possible.

So yeah, that currently means there's a rather tight window for posting up your questions. One has to keep one's eyes peeled! :P

Ah, well. I suppose this profession specific Ask the Devs will come around in the future, too.
Yeah it could well do. There's only so many topics, and we may want to look at repeating some after a while as no doubt the landscape can change and new questions can arise.
