HTML Datamining and You
Now that the API is live, we want to make you all aware that HTML datamining (via eu.battle.net/wow or any of the other regional wow sites) is not acceptable. Within the next 7 days, we will start to blacklist users that are making excessive requests to our regular community sites.

If you are currently in the process of porting over to the API and have not requested a key yet, please do so. We do not want to interrupt service for community sites that are following that path.

Please email api-support@blizzard.com with specific questions/concerns, or reply to this thread with any general comments.

Thank you for your cooperation :-)

We see that some people do have some queries about this announcement, and we'd just like to reiterate that if you do have questions or concerns, please email api-support@blizzard.com

Thanks everyone!

Is it possible for the EU side to get their own forums like the US Website and Mobile Feedback (http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/#forum1025937) ?

I was following the progress of the API in the US side but was unable to post my comments, findings and coding.
While it is unfortunate that you are unable to do this, we do not have any current plans to open similar forums in Europe.

Blizzard sure knows how to make us feel like valued customers when they ask for input and then don't partake in the discussion that follows.

As I said in the original post, Byakurai, anyone needing answers to specific questions and concerns should email api-support@blizzard.com. This forum thread is for people to discuss and comment on the topic, so that we may gather feedback from it.

HTML Datamining and You
Heya,

Sometimes when i pull the roster of a guild, some people's guild ranks are missing (but only some times and only for a couple of people). Has anyone faced the same issue?

This is a known issue and will likely result in us removing the achievement points number from the membership list of the guild API resource.
