Scarlet Monastery and Scholomance
I read the following text and that last line really confuses me...

Scarlet Monastery and Scholomance are intended to be quick instances that keep their character but remove their less-favorable components. Surrounding zones will not receive quest and lore updates--it just seemed logical to update these because players always loved them.

My big question after reading this is:
Wouldn't it instead be more logical to do something about dungeons people NOT love so much? Why try fixing things which already are working fine and people already love?

I loved old Deadmines, but after you "updated" it I almost never play it. I now fear the same could happen to Scarlet monestary which today is one of my favorite places when leveling alts. The new Shadowfang keep is however okay though, but I still miss the old version.

Why not please just add new undiscovered areas in both Scarlet Monastery and Scholomance as new separate dungeons instead of tampering with the current ones?

That's a fair point. But just because we're revamping the big player favourites, doesn't mean that we won't be looking around and seeing what else we might want to revamp.

Aww, you didn't like the updated Deadmines? My friends and I certainly enjoyed it when Cataclysm came out.

So, what's this about Lilian Voss as a boss fight in Scholomance, eh?

A boss? From what I read about the revamp, it sounded more like she's a quest giver/companion in that dungeon :/ I hope "boss fight" doesn't mean we kill her.
In Mists of Pandaria, we finally catch up with Lilian Voss. For those who didn't play through the Forsaken starting experience, Lilian Voss was brought back to life by Sylvanas, but despite this she refused to become part of the Forsaken.

After trying to re-connect with her still living father, those players with keen eyes might have noticed her handiwork in Western Plaguelands.

As a non-aligned "free agent," Lilian has some surprising hidden talents. In Mists of Pandaria she's still confused about her situation. Still broiling with internal conflict, despising what she has become.

Now she has a new and grander mission in mind and it revolves around Scholomance and Darkmaster Gandling in particular. She wants to ensure that like herself, no others shall be raised from death and subjugated.

Great! It's always interesting when a character has a personal story throughout the game. I've also written a news about this, in italian: http://battlecraft.it/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=6608

Thanks for posting it here. :)

I was intrigued to read some of the comments in that article, particularly the one from Greymane: "Small riddle: who manages to find a clerical error in the Magic card?" (Check Greymane's comment in Enterprise's link to see the Magic card in question!)

Lilian Voss is not actually named after this card! Believe it or not, that was a total coincidence, as one of our designers happened to go to school with a guy named "Voss." :)
