At the moment we're looking into adding a further set of Mists of Pandaria beta forums right here, as it appears it won't be quite as easy to replicate the beta forums of previous expansions. We'll provide more information as and when we can.
Well, as I said, it currently appears we cannot set it up the way we had it for previous expansions (sharing with US players). It's not a case of something we don't want to "let you use," we would prefer it was a shared forum too.23/03/2012 12:36Posted by CamõesYou could let us use the american ones.
Anyhow, suffice to say we are still looking into it and seeing what we can do.
We do too.23/03/2012 16:03Posted by DerranI hope you understand this and find a way to resolve this tech issue so we can post on the American beta forums.
However, if we cannot resolve it, it doesn't exclude the chance that developers might post here. They definitely read here, and a lot.
Though we now have a range of new beta forums here, we have been unable to restrict them to be just posted in by beta testers.
During the WotLK and Cata Closed Beta, it was possible to post with the new characters you made on the beta servers..With regret, I suspect this won't be possible.
27/03/2012 09:19Posted by LietYou're still working on providing access to the US boards, or has that proven to technically not possible?
It has proven to be technically impossible, which is why we have created beta-specific forums here.
We won't be able to restrict access so we are leaving it as it is now. Should that change, yes we would consider adding a separate discussion forum for those without beta access. As it is, the best thing to do for now was to retain this forum but merge it in with the other beta-specific forums.27/03/2012 12:44Posted by Thymian]In the case that you're able to restrict access, will the smart guy who renamed the general MoP discussion board into beta-feedback board provide the people without beta access a new discussion board?
I'd like to ask how, given it worked just fine last Beta for the US forums.
It's a completely different forum system. Unfortunately the new system, as cool as it is in many ways, did not retain the old ability to allow merged region forums for betas.
Not quite. The beta realm servers are all based in the US as is the US forums, the EU forums, however, are not and are in fact separated in many ways.
again, how can you not restrict access when the US does this? (sorry but its surely the exact same servers and forums for every region? or are we now been told the US has all the special toys hehe?)
Anyhow, we can't really give technical specifics, suffice to say that we wanted it to work but we were unable to achieve it.

27/03/2012 15:38Posted by SheppoCouldn't we go and make a trial WoW account on http://us.battle.net, a trial character on a random US realm, and use that to post to the US forums, or is there a trial forum restriction?
That was our intended plan but it apparently didn't work out. If you try it and it works, then please feel free to let us know. From my own experience, though I managed to have a US trial account on my personal battle.net account, the beta forums are restricted from trial accounts.
It would be nice if you could create a seperate forum icon for Beta testers — like there is for the Diablo III forums — or just something so you can see that a post is from the perspective of someone who has tried the Beta.
It's probably not possible...but it is akward to discuss Beta experiences with non-Beta players.
Not possible for the same reasons why we can't restrict posting to players with beta invites.
The devs will continue to read here. It just happens whether or not people believe it. We speak the same language as they do.27/03/2012 12:56Posted by LietSo wit no restrictions imposed here it's even more unlikely that devs will read here, let alone respond.
The amount of times, since I joined in 2008, that I have tried to convince people of the forum of something I know is a fact somehow does not prevent me from repeating it, despite those who doubt it: the developers of World of Warcraft do read the EU English language forums. It's a fact whether one chooses to believe it or not.
Also, the English EU forums is pretty much the only place outside of the US forums that the developers have actually posted in the past.
Anyhow, whether developers will post here in the EU beta forums this time around, that's a story that has yet to be told. Let's wait and see. :)
